Celebrating Our 51st Anniversary

Join us as Albany Goes Greek for 3 days during the St. Sophia 2024 Greek Festival! This year's event is currently scheduled to run from May 17 - 19.

  • Rain or Shine – Tent and indoor accommodations
  • Free Parking
  • Extra Parking with free shuttle service at Center for the Disability Services at 314 South Manning Blvd. Across the street from St. Peter’s Hospital

Festival Features

  • “E Kouzina” – Casual dining room featuring all our traditional home cooked authentic Greek entrees
  • Continuous LIVE Greek Music & Greek dancers in traditional costumes
  • Greek Pastry Shop featuring homemade pastries
  • Delicious Food Shops under the TENT: Souvlaki, Gyro, Greek Salad, Loukoumades (Greek Fried Dough), Spanakopita and Greek Coffee
  • Souvenir and Jewelry Shops
  • Church Tours – Visit the church to see beautiful icons, depicting the stories from the Bible, Christ’s life and in honor of numerous Saints. New icons have been added the last few years by our resident Iconographer.

Dance Group

  • Over 50 children and young adult dancers from 8 – 17 years old
  • The dancers perform throughout the weekend in the tent and dining room
  • Dancers perform dances from many of the islands and regions in Greece
